According to a recent survey, 64% of artists and creative workers are unemployed! Every opportunity to perform, showcase, or display in person has vanished for the time being. The creative community is deeply wounded by the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, I’ve joined RAW Artists in an effort to help fundraise directly to artists for a project titled, The National Arts Drive.
On Saturday, June 20, 2020, we’re calling all artists in every creative medium to showcase from their front lawns, driveways, balconies, stoops, or studios. We’re inviting the community-at-large to take a drive and experience the creative culture living in their own neighborhood. The driving experience will be paired with a mobile website and an interactive map. As drivers approach an installation or performance they can donate directly to the artist, follow them on social media, and/or flag their online shop for future purchases.
If you or a creative you know if interested in joining this movement and raising awareness and financial support for artists, sign up and drop your map marker at https://NationalArtsDrive.com
Pazan Gallery will be featuring 4 artists including Marianne Morris, Everist Prokofiev, Carolyn Daniels and Marcelo Leonardo Pazan. We will be open from 10 am - 3 pm

Spring Relaunch Exhibition 2020
MEET THE VISUAL ARTISTS
Pazan Gallery is finally reopened after many weeks of being closed due to the Covid-19 health emergency measures. If you plan to visit our gallery please make sure you book an appointment prior to your visit. We have Covid-19 protocols that must be followed to ensure the safety of our staff and clients.
Pazan Gallery is pleased to help our community during this global health emergency. We have created this how-to video in order to help to "flatten the curb" of the deadly Covid19 virus by demonstrating how people may fashion a homemade face mask using an ordinary fitted bedsheet with or Dollarama elastic bands. The video demonstrates two versions of elastic bands that may be employed if one or the other is not available. To begin please download the PDF file of two size patterns for an adult and children.
These masks are not to protect the wearer but may help the spread of the virus if the wearer is not aware they have been infected. In this video, we used one cotton sheet as well a one linen sheet. These masks are for emergency use only. They are not for healthcare or home care workers. They must be washed with soap and water (or bleach) every 3 hours of use because they can begin to cultivate bacteria inside the humid filled cavity where the person is breathing into. These masks take about 30-45 minutes to make one at at time but you may want to layer the sheets in order to increase production and reduce waste.
Take care and good luck.
Pazan Gallery prepares to launch new art gallery space in Port Credit after COVID-19 emergency is over!
During the global health emergency Pazan Gallery continues to work on a new gallery space located in the scenic village of Port Credit sometime in 2020. Although the gallery is closed to the public the owners Marcelo and Gloria continue to get the new gallery space which is approximately 800 square feet of open gallery space. Once Pazan Gallery is allowed to return to normal business hours they will be ready to reintroduce their expanded gallery/studio space to the local community of artists and art connoisseurs. This video captures Marcelo and Gloria working away while self-isolating themselves at the studio/gallery. #localgallery #ilovepc #mississaugaart #mississauga #buylocalart #madebyPazan
